La Seule Exactitude

Universitaire souvent drôle, toujours sérieux, précis, fidèle et consciencieux, Alain Finkielkraut, dans La Seule Exactitude, cite profusément et clairement ses sources et dans cet ouvrage, la palme revient à Levinas, Peguy et Heidegger. Avant de vous agiter pour cette dernière référence, lisez toutes les citations qui sont évidemment le fruit de ma lecture subjective. Je regrette toujours qu’Alain Finkielkraut persiste à lire le monde à travers son prisme un peu trop issu de Samuel Huntington alors que la lecture bien plus intelligente de Benjamin Barber lui serait infiniment profitable.

La rédactrice en chef de Marianne à Genève pour JCall Switzerland

J'ai déjà évoqué ailleurs sur ce blog le bonheur et l'intérêt de l'excellent ouvrage de Martine Gozlan, Israël contre Israël dans ma bibliographie. C'est un ouvrage dont non seulement le fond mais aussi le style sont superbes. On y apprend tous énormément . Voici mes notes sur la conférence donnée ce jour, Dimanche 17 novembre par Martine dans les superbes salons de la Société Nautique de Genève. Elle est venu parler de son ouvrage Israël contre Israël et en débattre avec un public très diversifié de personnes cherchant à questionner la réalité actuel du soutien critique à un pays ami ou parent, Israël. Car comme le dit Alain Finkielkraut, une passion informée vaut mieux qu'une passion aveugle.

Adieu King Father and Welcome to the New Lunar Year

In Asia, the impossible can always happen, you just have to dream it. Such was my visit to Phnom Penh where I intended to take part to the Farewell to King Father Norodom Sihanouk, but no plan or idea of how this would occur. Eventually, the impossible happened and I will never forget this intense moment, in black and white of the farewell to one of the most vibrant figures of our recent history.
