My second ferry crossing took place between Cairnryan (Scotland) and Belfast, in a very windy Irish sea, so it was quite funny to read that Europe was under a heat wave which, I’m glad to report, certainly didn’t occur this side of the Irish Sea (La Merdirlande pour Ingrid 😉 )

IMG_7385not only was it grey but it was foggy as well….and sheep, cut pine trees (which by the way didn’t look very healthy) and vast meadows were all I saw and actually enjoyed till I reached Stranraer, Castle Douglas and Dumfries!
